June Pattern of the Month: Norges-kofta
This June, Knitorama highlights a true Norwegian classic: the Norges-kofta, also known as the Norway Cardigan. First published in 1968, this allover stranded colorwork cardigan captures mid‑century Norwegian knitwear. Both the ladies’ and children’s top‑down versions are available.
June theme: Sandnes Kamgarn Spinneri
The June theme is the history of Sandnes Kamgarn Spinneri, the mill behind the original K 18 Norges‑kofta. Casting on the Norway Cardigan this month is a way to explore both a beautiful colorwork design and more than a century of Norwegian wool and mill history.
